Just purchased a new Tucson from Findlay. While getting a new car is exciting, the negotiations are usually stressful, and very time consuming. I was very pleasantly surprised how easy it was at Findlay. While I wasn't able to sign documents, due a nationwide software outage, the negotiations took less than one hour. For the first time my life it was an enjoyable experience. I am 70 and have purchased a lot of cars, so that is saying something.

Most of my experience with this dealership was positive. There was only one comment made by a manager about a question I had that made me angry and feeling like I didn't know what I was talking about. I expressed my concern to my salesman and he apologized to me. I left the dealership and went back the next day. There was a different manager there and between him and my salesman, I came home with a new Hyundai Tucson.
During my visit to the dealership for front brake service, I encountered a series of inconsistent quotes. Initially, the service was quoted at $299 via their check-in iPad. I then presented a Hyundai website coupon for $239, leading to a revised paper quote of $279, which was communicated to me before work commenced. Contrary to the promised 1.5-2 hour completion time for my 2 PM appointment, I was later informed the service would extend past 5 PM. Findlay has an exceptional service department. Mr Tucson began to show the check engine light in early Dec 2023. They did all the tests and after working with Corporate Hyundai techs to try to fix the problem a few times it was determined that the engine needed replacement. Jason, the sales manager, knows about sales specials, but does not quote them. Then once you get into financing... they just slip in a higher interest rate and term length. Once I caught it and tried to rectify it, Jason would not fix it or help. Not only was the finance guy slimy but now the Sales Manager is not going to help? I've never been more disappointed in customer service for something as big of a deal as a new car purchase. I would stay clear of this place, as they are not ethical.

Hyundai makes great cars. Just purchased my second Elantra. This one is a Hybrid and I love it. I’m a car guy and follow maintenance routines to the letter. Unfortunately when I called to get the 7500 mile oil change, tire rotation and car inspection was told it would be 7 weeks before I could get it done. I’m suppose to have free maintenance for 3 years but if I go over 1000 miles past the mileage due I have to pay for the maintenance work and have to wait another 3700 miles before getting the free service. Scott Freeman was our salesman in 2011, when we purchased our Hyundai Sonata. He was our salesman again on April 26, 2021, when we purchased our 2022 Hyundai Tucson. I felt very uncomfortable due to the fact no one that I came into contact at the dealership practices cdc recommend guidelines and requested that the financial officer wear a mask or stay at least 6 feet away from us if we were required to sign paper work in his cubicle as requested by us the day before the transaction with our salesman. and we were told by the salesman that they would do that and they did not.our salesman was very polite and professional, not so much for the Financial officer, he was very pushy and not very professional.

Most people love getting a new car, but find the buying experience disagreeable. Not so at Findlay Hyundai. They never put any pressure upon you. They fairly evaluate the value of your trade in. The answer all of your questions in a friendly, and thorough manner. The sales manager went out of his way to include a spare tire without any extra charge. Working with the finance manager was low key, friendly, and easy. I cannot recommend Findlay Automotive more highly.
Overall, satisfied with the sales process. Would have desired a more detailed discussion of the bottom line vs. monthly costs, as the first leads to the second. Thought gap insurance is overpriced. Partly our fault, as we had not come fully prepared to purchase that day with pre-approved financing from our credit union. My wife filled out the test drive promotion form for the $40 Visa card, and we gave to Mike. Haven't heard anything yet from Hyundai.
